The entire session takes about 60 minutes.
How many times?
It is recommended 2 to 3 times a year.

Is it painful?
Absolutely not.
What are the benefits of a maintenance dental hygiene session?
During a dental hygiene session, plaque and tartar are removed. This allows you to:
have healthy, non-bleeding gums;
prevent the onset of periodontal disease (pyorrhoea) and gum recession;
prevent the onset of caries;
have better aesthetics;
avoid halitosis.

Prevention
To take care of yourself and prevent oral health problems, such as gingivitis and periodontitis, it is essential to perform proper oral hygiene at home as well:
brush your teeth and gums for two minutes, at least twice a day;
floss daily;
do not smoke;
use toothpaste and mouthwashes that contain fluoride;
limit intake of sugary foods and drinks;
eat a balanced diet.

The preliminary examination
The first visit with the doctor is very important, because it allows us to understand what the person's predisposition is, whether he or she has caries, periodontal disease, or cosmetic problems. Only after the visit can the correct course of oral hygiene be established and implemented.

Integration with laser therapy
If gum pockets are present and tissue stimulation is needed, a laser therapy session is added.

Oral hygiene at home: prevention
At the conclusion of the session, the hygienist gives some personalized suggestions on how to maintain the results obtained at home as well: type of toothbrush to use, toothpaste, frequency, use of mouthwash, flossing, and brush. Good oral hygiene even at home prevents the onset of disease and keeps the smile beautiful and healthy.

The treatment
The hygienist begins with ablation, that is, removing plaque and tartar around the gum line and between the teeth. Then he completes the cleaning phase using (the air flow), an instrument that vaporizes water, air, and glycine powder. If there are stains, calcium carbonate and polishing rubbers (polishing) are used. For more cleaning of tooth-to-tooth spaces, use specific micro-abrasive strips.

Application of fluoride treatment (fluoroprophylaxis)
The last, optional step in the session is fluoride treatment. It is used to better protect teeth from acid attacks by bacteria, making enamel stronger and preventing the occurrence of cavities.

Enlightening treatment
To make the smile even more beautiful, the oral hygiene session can be concluded with our pampering: a product is applied to the teeth for about 10 minutes that restores light and a lighter color to the tooth enamel.
