The Clinical Case
CERVICAL FILLINGS
SMILE RESTORATION
Clinical:
Dr. Andrea Gerardi
Initial situation
The 46-year-old patient presents with multiple brushing abrasions on the lower incisors. He complains of high sensitivity to cold, caused by substance loss at the root level.

Objective
Restore protection and shape to the dental elements. After proper isolation of the operative field, the missing part will be reconstructed using ceramic-reinforced composite material.

Treatment
Ceramic-reinforced resin reconstructions are performed in the same shade as the natural tooth.
In a single session of approximately one hour, it is possible to complete the six front reconstructions, often without the need for anesthesia.

Medical considerations
Covering the abraded areas with composite material is essential not only to reduce or eliminate dental sensitivity but also to prevent plaque buildup in the concave areas. Over time, plaque accumulation can lead to tooth decay and gum recession.
