Phosphor X-ray system

Phosphor X-ray system

What is phosphorus technology

These are digital X-rays obtained with a low dosage of radiation compared to traditional ones, quick to develop and long lasting. On-screen viewing allows greater magnification and viewing quality.

Phosphor technology allows the image to be obtained using less amount of rays while maintaining high image quality.

What is it for

Radiography is the indispensable tool for prevention and oral hygiene care. It is essential for early detection of interproximal caries, those located between teeth that are impossible to find with visual or tactile instruments, and for early signs of periodontitis. It also highlights caries below old fillings and incongruous dentures, tartar, and bone resorption. They are suitable for adults and children.

The types of slabs

Depending on the situation and the data to be highlighted, we have different types of x-rays available:

  • Bitewing: is an X-ray that simultaneously visualizes several teeth, up to the first molar. It is the main tool for discovering the presence of caries and interproximal (between teeth) tartar;

  • periapical radiographs: allow the complete tooth to be seen: crown, bone and root. They allow verification of the status of the tooth pulp, the presence of any previous root canal treatments, granulomas and tooth fractures;

  • periodontal status: these are periapical radiographs of the whole mouth. It is performed in cases of periodontal problems (pyorrhea).

BENEFITS

  • Speed of execution.

  • Less radiation than conventional plates.

  • Greater accuracy.
